Kamal Chopra of OPA, who is organising the visit on behalf of AIFMP, in the capacity of co-chairman, international relation, said, “We have applied for the support from the central government, but till date we have not received any response.”

Around 100 printers from various parts of the country are expected to participate in the group visit. “The main purpose of the trip is to witness and understand the system of working in Chinese print shops. All Indian printers would like to know how the Chinese are able to produce jobs at economical rates,” Chopra said.

He said this time, the China Academy of Printing Technology and the Printing Technology Association of China agreed to take the visitors to some of the leading print houses in the country to practically witness the working system of Chinese printers. “It is for the first time that such a visit is being organised for Indian printers,” Chopra added.

Recently, Chopra had led 83-member delegation to the Print Technology Exhibition at Kuala Lumpur held from 14 to 18 August. This visit, under the banner of AIFMP, was supported by the government. “For the first time, we organised India Day at the exhibition and celebrated Independence Day at Kuala Lumpur with the support of the organisers of the exhibition,” he said.
