The Asia Coat + Ink Show 2024 is an exclusive exhibition for the printing ink and coating industry. It serves as a platform for industry professionals to explore innovations, network, and exchange ideas.
As per the chairman of Asia Coat, Shekhar Iyer, "The Indian ink print and packaging industry remains strong, particularly on the packaging side, and the ink industry continues to thrive in the region." PrintWeek estimates that ink sales in the region are more than USD one billion annually. Given India’s growing print and packaging market, this event is crucial for staying updated.
Iyer said, "The exhibition layout will be organised to optimise the visitor experience. The highlight is, coatings and inks will have dedicated zones, allowing attendees to focus on their specific interests."
Alongside the exhibition, AIPIMA has planned networking sessions, conferences, and workshops. These events will enhance knowledge sharing and foster industry connections. Iyer said, "Visitors to the show can expect to see cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions, and digital advancements." He added, "Eco-friendly printing inks and coatings will be highlighted."
Notable companies participating include Toyo Inks, ABC Chemicals, Micas Pigments, CJS Speciality CHemicals, Vimal Inter Trade, K-Tech, IMCD to name a few.
The show is important even as ink industry leaders are fortifying their operations in the region. For example, Flint Group continues to invest in India with an announcement in November.
Meanwhile readers of WhatPackaging? will recall DIC India's launch of new manufacturing operations at its new plant in Saykha, Bharuch district, Gujarat. This plant with a production capacity of 10,000 metric tons, serves as a mother plant for toluene-free liquid ink products.
Similarly Siegwerk has opened colour matching centres in Pune and Chennai. The group has invested in building a solar park in Jaisalmer.
Utsab Choudhuri, the chairman of the International Conference said, "We live in exciting times. The conference brings together some of the brightest minds, innovators, and professionals from across the globe to share knowledge, explore the latest advancements, and discuss the future of our industry."
He added, "This conference presents an invaluable opportunity for us to engage in meaningful dialogue, foster collaboration, and exchange ideas that will shape the future of printing ink technology."
