AIPPF organises seminar on Lithec GmbH measurement control systems

AIPPF, formed in 2009, is a body formed by printing technologists from the industry of printing and allied trades, like paper, ink, machinery, binding, packaging, chemicals, hardware, software to develop the printing industry by providing technical assistance to the printers and arrange training, seminars on printing, packaging and allied industry for the purpose of upgradation of skills & knowledge.

Lithec GmbH is a German manufacturer and developer of measurement devices for the printing industry. On efforts to promote the Indian printing industry, a Niman Graphic Supplies, marketing agent of Lithec GmbH in India along with the assistance of AIPPF organised a seminar on the state of the art measurement control systems for the printing machines. The presentation was offered by Srephan Hartl, head of service and training, Lithec GmbH.

“Standardisation is the rule of the day and that faster it is done better it is for survival in this cut throat competitive world, was the message put forth by hartl before initiating the presentation. The lucid presentation by hartl illustrated through slides and videos showed the audience how a printing press with attachments such as automatic spectral measurement, automatic density measurement, dynamic colour control, automated presetting of colour to the web or sheet fed machines would make a definite difference over other printers. “this will not only cut short the make ready time but also decrease wastage thereby spinning money”, said Hartl.

The seminar concluded with Sukumal Adhikari and Arup Kumar thanking Shyam Mohan, proprietor of Animan Graphic Supplies for making the event possible, on behalf of the audience.
