The focus of the firm at the show is on the food industry. Vikas Khanna, director, Ajanta Print Arts, said, “Since we cater to the food industry and the food products come in direct contact with the packaging, we take extreme care when producing a carton.
All our plants are certified and audited, so as to be in a right position to serve our customers the right way.” The key highlight at the stall is in-mould labelling, which according to Khanna, has higher display value, and is tamper-proof, along with it being cost-effective. The Navi-Mumbai based firm has its in-house packaging development team which provides packaging solutions according to its customer needs.
Polypropylene-based packaging is one of them, for which the firm has bagged the IndiaStar award. Khanna said, “Polypropylene packages provide excellent clarity, have stack life of more than six months, can be supplied as flat boards and plus is much lighter in weight. This helps in reduction in freight charges and hence, is cost-effective.”
Talking about the growth of packaging segment, Khanna said, “I see double-digit growth in the next five years.”
