The eye test programme was a part of Project Parivartan, an initiative for the betterment of its employees. This is the first time Ajanta has initiated a project of this kind.

Vivek Khanna, director, Ajanta Print Arts, said, “The Project Parivartan is our attempt to improve the livelihood of our employees. In our quality control department, we observed one of our employees who was sorting the job could not identify the wrong colour. Initially we thought, that he is doing it on purpose but when we asked him to get his eye checked from a local doctor, we came to know that he was suffering from colour blindness. It was one such incident which gave us the idea of implementing this project.”

Khanna added, “The eye test will make them aware of the eye problems they have so that necessary medication can be provided.”

Under the Project Parivartan, eye test was the first programme, which will be followed by other similar programmes. According to Khanna blood group test is the next plan.

“There are workers who are unaware of their blood group. We need to educate our employees. Small things like these would strengthen their trust towards the company and make them comfortable at the workplace,” concluded Khanna.
