The news had no impact on business at Drupa. But today morning as India woke up to the news, there was alarm, since more than 15000 Indians shall be visiting the Drupa fairground.

Noel D'cunha, managing editor of PrintWeek India, said, "Indians should not panic. I am tracking the news through German media. They say, the worst is over."

D'cunha advised Indians to learn two German phrases, "Hallo, Ich komme ausIndien" (Hello, I am an Indian). And "Ich besuche Drupa" (I'm visiting Drupa).

According to a news report in ProPrint, the attack was part of a plan to target the large number of Drupa visitors and tourists  milling through Dusseldorf's city centre.

Some 300,000 global visitors are currently stationed at Drupa in Dusseldorf for the world's largest trade fair.

According to German reports, the three Syrian nationals had planned an explosive terrorist attack on Dusseldorf's Heinrich-Heine-Allee. This is the main street in the city and a public transport hub.

Two of the would-be offenders were reportedly planning to use suicide bombs, and the third man allegedly had instructions to 'kill passerbys'.

In a statement released by German federal prosecutors, the three men had plans to 'carry out an attack in Dusseldorf's Old Town'.

At this stage of investigations, German authorities believe the foiled suicide bombing attempts are linked to foreign terrorist organisation ISIS.

According to media reports, a fourth man was also arrested in France after giving himself up to French authorities and revealing details of the terror plot.
