Debashish Dutta, general manager, Alpna Visual Packaging Aids, said, “Apart from India, we are already engaged in business development processes in countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Dubai, and GCC countries. This year, we wish to create our customer base in South East Asia, mainly in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam where the packaging market is doing well.
He added, “In the coming year, we plan to further expand our footprint to Europe, the USA, and Latin American countries. The response from the show was engaging. We had serious visitors and had meaningful discussions. We could do good networking, which will help us build a customer base in the coming months.”
At the event, Alpna showcased its Mercury and LED solutions for offset and narrow-web presses, also we have shared our newly developed cold foil solutions for online and offline processes.
Dutta said Thailand and SEA countries are mature markets in terms of folded cartons, and label segments. “Earlier, there was dominance of Chinese companies but the landscape is changing. Now, Indian products and solutions are being taken seriously. This is a huge shift compared to the landscape of yesteryears. We see a great opportunity to position ourselves as the pioneer in offline drip-off systems and retrofitted UV and LED curing systems for folded carton and label segments,” he added.
He added that Alpna plans to participate in a series of overseas exhibitions in the coming months and years.
“Our presence in the overseas trade shows will further help us in connecting with the right customers, create a larger customer base, and create a strong brand. Trade shows overseas have a strong advantage of networking and connecting with the right partners and associates,” he added.
