Alwar’s Vijay Craft buys Bobst folder-gluer
Alwar, Rajasthan-based Vijay Craft has invested in a Bobst Ambition 106 A1 folder-gluer. The machine has been running on the company shopfloor since August 2020. According to Sunny Bachchani, director, Vijay Craft, the company was on the hunt for an appropriate machine and an apt solution for the problems it was facing in three-ply boxes.

“We were introduced to Bobst during an exhibition in Jaipur. We showed the Bobst team the material and challenges we were facing. Then we were invited to Pune for a demo at their competence centre. After the visit, we were absolutely sure of our choice,” Bachchani said.
Previously, the company was using boxes with metal staple which posed various problems like junk or rusting, where the rust would rub onto the product inside.
Established in 2014, Vijay Craft, located in Alwar, Rajasthan, had a very humble start with a corrugation machine and few staple machines making three-ply, five-ply outer cartons. After few years, they started supplying three-ply corrugation boxes to footwear industries and now is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of corrugated and duplex cartons in that region to various industries, mainly footwear.

“The Bobst team was helpful and offered their support at each and every process steps right from making corrugation sheet to making proper creasing at die-cutting. They resolved our problems one by one so that we would not face any issues with the folder-gluer while running the cartons. We have the manual die-cutting setup and the Bobst process team helped us in improving our die-cutting process as well, so that proper creasing on the cartons can be achieved,” said Bachchani.
He added that the new machine has not only solved the company’s existing problems, it has also doubled its production capacity in single shift.
