The industry response to the "Dev-Anand partnership" has been positive. A top Mumbai printer said, “Two of Mumbai’s premier print associations, The Bombay Master Printer’s Association and the Mumbai Mudrak Sangh, have decided to work together. It's a win-win situation for both the associations, as well as the numerous printers, who are well wishers of both the associations.
Anand Limaye, after two terms as the President of Mumbai Mudrak Sangh (MMS – a term of two years) and three terms as the President of Maharashtra Mudran Parishad (MMP), hopes to "repose the confidence placed in him by the industry". A student of GIPT in Mumbai he has been overseeing operations of the 82 year old press, namely, India Printing Works.
Limaye has launched a publishing house Inking Innovations, which has published more than 15 titles in the past 12 months.
Limaye has served the Industry at the All India Federation of Master Printers and been associated with both the Award ceremony in 2005 plus the Pamex trade show in 2006.
Currently he is the Hon. Editor of MMS' Print Bulletin. He pioneered the concept of ‘MMS at your doorstep’, a closed door event hosted at key locations to engage with local printers.
Furthermore, he partnered with top companies to guarantee original software at reasonable rates for the print community; thereby promoting ‘Be legal, be safe’ campaign.
He did a padyatra in Maharashtra to ensure print outreach; and as Hon Chairman, he poured his energy into the MMP’s Institute of Printing Technology & Research’ at Panvel, Navi Mumbai. Today, this print institute boasts of a BE in Printing Technology, under the auspices of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, a deemed university.
The future plan is: to convert this institute into a full-fledged training centre that covers diploma, degree and management courses in printing.
