The head at APL said that his company will formalise its tie-up with Air Motion Systems (AMS) of USA during Pamex. Air Motion Systems manufactures UV LED and ARC UV curing systems used in sheetfed offset, flexo and inkjet digital systems. AMS kit will be on display at Pamex.

“Today, with international retailing entering India, packaging for brand imaging has received a zonesboost. The need for attractive packaging is leading to printing with UV inks on metallic paper boards (metpet). Other important trend is digital printing replacing offset in publication and short-run jobs in A3 plus sizes,” said Paul. He added, “Given this trend in the Indian market, we chose to focus on UV.”

Besides an installation base in India, APL has presence in the global market. “We have established our demo centre in Munich. Our machines are installed in many developed countries at international print firms.”

Paul is worried over the rising costs of input material for manufacturing. It has tried to overcome it with new ideas. “We are worried by the rising input costs, hence we are designing kit which uses less energy and attract buyers who are looking to bring down their energy costs,” said Paul.
