Apsom to bring Roland’s latest VersaUV kit to India

Apsom has announced that it will introduce Roland’s newest kit, Roland VersaUV LEJ-640FT UV-LED flatbed printer, to India. The new LEJ-640FT, according to Apsom, is positioned for the user that needs an extremely high-quality output; with some special effects on rigid up to six inches of substrates.

Apsom represents Roland DG in India and has installed over 346 machines in India in 2014-15.
 
Ravi Agarwala, managing director at Apsom Infotex, said, “The new kit is loaded with features like printing on thick substrates, white and gloss inks, and offers a flexible choice with three ink configuration to suit different applications.”
 
VersaUV LEJ-640FT is capable of printing at speeds of up to 12.4 sq/mt per hour in sizes of up to 1,600x2,500mm on substrates with a thickness of 150mm height and 200kg in weight. The inks configuration is available in CMYK, white and gloss, but a customer can opt for a combination of CMYK plus white plus gloss, CMYK plus white plus white and CMYK plus gloss plus gloss.
 
The RIP software, which has been developed solely for LEJ-640FT, is built around Adobe postscript engine. Roland also offers free online RIP updates for the machine.
 
Agarwala said, “The LEJ-640FT offers printers and sign makers, the flexibility to produce the extensive range of creativity, high quality and profitable applications that include POS displays, packaging prototypes, outdoor and indoor signages.”
 
Agarwala concluded, “In the eco-solvent market, Roland is the most preferred brand and has installed over 346 machines in India in 2014-15.”
