The SM 74 has joined its existing press and post-press kit at it's three-year old unit which is 6,000 sq ft in size.
D Ravikumar and his sonLokesh said: "Four-colour production will be quicker and give us better quality control. We feel our money works harder for us with this machine." The SM 74 and Techkon spectro drive at K Ar has attracted premium jobs from top corporates.
Ravikumar, with 30 years print experience said the secondhand machine doesn't mean a drop in quality.
"Our SM 74 is as good as a new machine," he said. "We purchased it from Europe. Heidelberg in India ensured Lokesh could travel and inspect the machine." Lokesh extolls the role Heidelberg had to play in the choice of press; and financial support.
Lokesh said: "The key is, to examine number of impressions and ‘live' print samples."
K Ar which expects growth of 20% for three years, are grateful that Heidelberg is bridging the gap in the Indian market as a a trustworthy secondhand machine supplier.
Ravikumar added: Our success is partly due to ten years of Heidelberg service."
