Arihant DigiPrints in a EFI Vutek buy

The machine has been installed by Arrow Digital, the Ahmedabad-based distributor of wide-format machines.

 

Established in 2003, Mitesh Kothari and Sunil Maheshwari, partners at Arihant manage the company, which specialises in indoor and outdoor signages.

 

Kothari said, “We wanted to upgrade from 2-meter to 3.2-meter wide format machine, as the previous technology was not giving us the required amount of productivity. The eight-colour plus multi-layer white print capability and the grayscale technology allows producing point-of-purchase (POP) graphics."

 

At present, the company's production capacity is around 45,000-50,000 sq/ft per month, which it hopes to boost with the new investment." We hope to advance our productivity by 30-40%, taking it to 60,000 sq/ft per month from our current production capacity," said Kothari. 

 

The machine offers a wide-range of applications at lower operational cost, said Kothari. "It will also help us cater to new clients in architecture and interior design segments, as the demand for print jobs comes mostly from corporate, interior designers and retail market. ”

 

“We can use a range of materials, such as heat sensitive which earlier was an issue. The machine can print on a wider range of applications like fleet and vehicle graphics, exhibition graphics, and fine art. It is a one stop UV LED solution for Arihant to be in the competitive market,” added Kothari.

 

Maheshwari said, “The EFI Vutek GS 3250LX Pro system is like a triple action plan for us and delivers quality and productivity. The EFI Vutek GS3250LX Pro system prints on a 126-inch wide hybrid print bed. The machine is a roll-to-roll UV printer with the image quality up to 1,000dpi, and production speeds up to 2,400 sq/ft per hr.
