Arrow Digital showcased the EFI Pro 16h UV LED hybrid printer at the show. This is an entry-level hybrid printer for those who have entered the UV business and want to start with an exemplary brand like EFI. “We also introduced the Canon Colorado 1650. The Canon Colorado 1650 is a 5-ft UVgel roll-to-roll printer. It can print matte and gloss at the same time,” Nazreen Wadia, VP, operations, Arrow Digital, said. “Both these technologies were showstoppers. Visitors were amazed by the print quality, durability, vibrancy, and green, sustainable applications.”
Wadia said the response from the show was overwhelming. “We were thrilled to have a wonderful audience after two years. Initially, we were hesitant to participate and had mixed feelings. But as the show started, it rocked — a typical Media Expo flooded with an eager crowd,” Wadia said.
Monotech Systems displayed its UV range, including Pixeljet Ultron UV hybrid printer, and the newly launched Pixeljet miniRTR, a six-feet UV LED roll-to-roll printer. “The focus for Monotech during the show was on future technologies, innovation, and green printing,” Manoj Garg, general manager – wide format graphics, Monotech Systems, said.
He added, “Our motto is to invest in future technologies like UV printing, to meet the consumer needs for digital printers with better productivity and print quality. We were able to meet our customers at the Media Expo after nearly one-and-a-half years. We met with our present customers and made new customer leads as well. The response was good.”
The main highlight at the Monotech booth was the newly-launched UV LED roll-to-roll printer, Pixeljet miniRTR. This machine is equipped with the new advanced Ricoh industrial-grade printheads. The printer can deliver printing speed up to 150-sqft/hr. (based on the printhead and colour configurations). It also brings media versatility and enables printing on a wide range of indoor, and outdoor applications, such as transparent materials, self-adhesive vinyl, outdoor materials, films, leather, and décor applications such as wallpapers, window blinds, wall decals, canvas, etc
ColorJet showcased its newly launched printing technologies – Vulcan prime, a 1.6-m UV roll-to-roll and SoniQ HQ Plus 3.20-m ultra-high quality eco-solvent printer.
The Vulcan Prime serves the dual purpose for signage as well as interior décor industry. It provides ultra-high-quality printing up to 2400-dpi and its UV curing technology ensures immediate drying, saving up to 90% of the production time.
Blended with the benefits of never-seen-before print quality in large format eco-solvent printing, the newly-launched SoniQ HQ Plus is the one-stop solution catering to all indoor as well as outdoor applications.
