Ashok Nerker's Unique celebrates golden jubilee

Unique Photo Offset Services, established in 1960, has completed 50 years of its operations in the India printing industry.

Today, the company offers a variety of services in print for pre-press, flexo-labels and shrink sleeve, offset printing and OOH. Ashok Nerker, owner of Unique, felt that doing business in print industry "requires very close supervision." He spoke of the need to pay collective attention on all the facets like "costing, estimation, production, customer management. In fact everything. Unlike large companies, the printing industry cannot afford to have large number of corporate managers."

Nerker has been an idol and a guide to many in the industry. On turning 50, he stated, "print firms have to re-examine the the scalability within the print industry. You have to use the same amount of energy or intellectual capacity to make a decision worth Rs 500 crore or Rs five crore."
