Ashwani Gupta to address World Corrugated Forum 2025
The AIFPP president will deliver a keynote on lightweighting and sustainability at the Shanghai event, highlighting India’s role in global packaging trends

Ashwani Gupta, president of the All India Federation of Printers and Packagers, will deliver a keynote address titled, Sustainability and Packaging Lightweighting in India’s Printing Industry, at the World Corrugated Forum 2025. The event is scheduled for 7 April 2025, at the Sheraton Grand in Shanghai. The forum, part of WePack, began in 2019 and is now in its fourth edition. It brings together 300 industry figures from 30 countries to discuss packaging light weighting and sustainability.
Prof Kamal Chopra, a key advisor at AIFPP, announced the news, saying, “Ashwani Gupta has been invited to address this forum and discuss packaging lightweighting and sustainability in India’s printing industry. His keynote will cover reducing packaging weight without affecting functionality as a key approach.”
Chopra added, “Sustainability and lightweighting are essential for the future of India’s printing industry. Using eco-friendly materials and new technologies can reduce environmental impact while meeting market needs.”
The speech will focus on India’s USD 8-billion printing industry, which grows at 12% annually and supports food, pharmaceuticals, and eCommerce sectors.
Gupta has over 40 years of experience, serving as managing director of Choice Books and Printing in Jalandhar since 1984. He started with letterpress printing and later adopted offset and web offset technologies. A law graduate, he also leads the federation, working to improve industry standards. Chopra noted, “His address will highlight India’s progress in sustainable packaging to a global audience.”
The event will feature discussions on corrugated packaging, printing, and market trends, with attendees sharing ideas on technology and applications.
