Aster notches xxx installation in India

Italy-based Meccanotecnica, manufacturer of automatic book sewing machines and systems, has notched xxx installation of its Aster series in India.

Meccanotecnica is represented by Bengaluru-based Indo European Machinery (IEM) in India.

Sidharth Bhandari, one of the directors at Indo European Machinery, said, “Indian printers across the spectrums are aware of the robust, reliable and productive nature of Aster machines. The machines enable their owners to provide a quality product and ensure a timely delivery to their clients.”

G Pramod, manager for sales at Indo European Machinery (IEM), confirmed  that, “We have notched … installations in India for the Aster range and plan to break the … mark soon.”

Pramod also shared a detailed list of Aster installations in India which include:



Aster EL, an entry level automatic book sewing machine, which is due installation at Mumbai-based packaging commercial printer, Hira Print Solution.

The other set of installations also include two Aster EL’s at New Delhi-based Rave Scans, one each at Kerala-based Koppara Enterprises Printing & Copying Solutions, Sivakasi-based The Orient Processors, Kolkata-based Anderson Printing House, New Delhi-based Tara Print and Bind, Kolkata-based Swapna Printing Works and Mumbai-based Parksons Graphics.


Whereas the Aster 180 installations include one at Noida-based Gopsons Paper, three machines each at Chennai-based Eagle Press and Surat-based Repro India, two each at at Haryana-based Replika Press and Delhi-based Ajanta Offset.

The Aster 180/51 has been installed at Mumbai-based Thomson Press and Noida-based Gopsons Paper.

Kolkata-based Art Printing House has invested in an Aster 180C.

The installations for Aster 150 include two each at Delhi-based Ajanta Offset and International Print O Pac, and one at Delhi-based Lustra Print Process.

IEM has also installed the Meccanotecnica Magix Line, which consist of 18 station gathering and three Aster 220C book sewing machines, at Sivakasi-based Srinivas Fine Arts and India’s first Multiplex line which consists of 18 gathering stations and 2 Aster 180 book sewing machine at Haryana-based Replika Press.
