Aura to offer Xante's digital solutions in India

Aura Print Solutions is the official agency for Xante in India. Natarajan Vaidyanathan, the managing director at Aura said the top product they will be representing in India is the Excelagraphix 4200P, a digital sheetfed press suited for printing on substrates up to 16mm.

As per a press note from Xante, "The Excelagraphix 4200P is designed to meet the growing demand in the packaging market by enabling users to print variable data on a variety of media including heavy corrugated and foam board (up to 5/8″ (15.9mm) thick) and on oversized sheets up to 42" (1067mm) wide by 8’ (2.4m) long."
 
Based on product videos and international customer testimonials, the Excelagraphix 4200 can be defined as a high-speed wide format inkjet which energises a traditional Flexo printer to ramp-up and meet the demand for a short run, custom corrugated boxes.
  
According to Vaidyanathan, “Now a corrugator converter in India can print custom full-colour containers with special promotions, personalised ad copy and graphics – on demand. The print speed, small footprint and price point of the Excelagraphix 4200P opens business opportunities and markets previously unserviced by the Indian packaging industry.”
 
The Mumbai-headquartered Aura which represented MGI digital presses earlier is working on the premise that short-run corrugated printing is “the next best thing to happen in the digital arena as inventory for packaging is getting smaller and smaller”.
 
Vaidyanathan stated that “With no use of plates or any make ready, the change over time for short-run packaging printing is absolutely few minutes”. The advantage is: the EG4200P can provide a breakthrough method for printing full colour boxes without cumbersome setup and cleanup.
 
He added, “You can use virtually any uncoated media or inkjet coated media including corrugated boards, sun board or any uncoated board with natural absorption.”
 
He said, “This changes everything and could open up new revenue streams for our customers. It allows us to print a full-colour box in a matter of seconds. Now a converter can meet tight deadlines and offer same-day proofing. One can also print boxes with special promotions and vendor ads because one can print on folded blanks/die cut boards; as well as print any variable data, QR code barcode or totally different images or languages sheet to sheet.”
 
Aura Print Solutions and Xante will be present at Drupa projecting the Excelagraphix 4200P as “the new champion in corrugated print production.”
