Award-winning marketing concepts at Media Expo 2016

Multi channel marketing, as means to interact with potential clients, has moved on from being unique to a brand to a usual strategy. And this is the potential that Messe Frankfurt India and POPAI India will tap at the three-day (15-17 January) Media Expo 2016 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon.

After acquiring the show last year, Messe Frankfurt India, organisers of Media Expo, has announced a collaboration with Point of Purchase Advertising International India (POPAI India), the Indian chapter of the leading global association for the in-store marketing industry, in 2016. The collaboration stands for the fair’s Mumbai and Delhi editions in 2016.

During the show a specialised zone, Marketing at Retail, will be created wherein award-winning marketing concepts and best practice displays will be showcased for the visitors.

Having acquired the show last year, for Raj Manek, managing director, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, the collaboration was the next step to expand Media Expo’s focus from print and signage alone into new areas of marketing and point of purchase. “With every edition of Media Expo, we strive to draw attention to the latest solutions for the advertising, signage and printing industries. Adding PoP products to this portfolio was the essential next step. We are excited about cooperating with POPAI India, and are positive that our association with them will go a long way in enabling PoP and retail marketers to broaden their perspective on progressive retail displays and in-store marketing tools that can improve customer experiences.”

Ragesh Bhatia, director, POPAI India said, “We are looking forward to new opportunities that this tie-up will bring and the additional platform this will provide POPAI to interact with the Indian retail industry. We hope to build on this relationship in the coming years and offer more value added experiences to the trade visitors.”

Furthermore, the two organizations together also plan to host a series of workshops to promote effective point of sale and other retail concepts. Details about the workshop will follow soon.
