Ludhiana-based packaging company, Axlent Designz has installed Autoprint’s Repetto 80, an automatic die-punching machine, in a bid to overcome a decade old struggler of slow post-press work.
Jaswinder Singh, which started Axlent Design in 2007 along with partner Ajay Guleria, said, "We specialise in pharma jobs, which require high-quality and timely delivery. Since the installation of the Repetto 80 a year ago, our delivery of jobs has quickened, quality improved, and also made it safe for operators working on the die-punching machine.” Besides pharma, the company also caters to FMGCs and also commercial print jobs.
Axlent plant operates from the newly developed Tibba Industrial Estate, 20kms away from Ludhiana city and is equipped with a Heidelberg four-colour press, a Poly and Dominant two-colour press, two manual dies, pasting, and a paper cutting machine besides the Repetto.
Singh added that, while deciding on the brand of die-cutting machine one of the criteria was prompt after-sales support. “Autoprint has a presence in New Delhi, and this has been helpful, though we did not have many issues. Besides, Autoprint helped us train our existing manual die-punching operator in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu before installation, and did all the hand-holding at the plant after it was installed,” Singh concluded.
