Speaking to PrintWeek India, Sunil Hasabnis, managing director of Baumer India, said, “This is the first time we are participating in show in the city of nawabs and it is great to be here. The venue is well equipped. The infrastructure is good. We have witnessed serious end users who know what they want and what they are talking. Quality of the visitors is good.”
Hasabnis added, “Ours is not a standard product. It is customised as per the need and requirement of the customers. So I will not say we have orders but we have genuine enquiries from the customers who have shown interest in the products which we have displayed.”
At the show, Baumer showcased and demonstrated sensors-inductive, photo-electrics, capacitive, encoders and rotary-incremental absolute, vision cameras, and gluing systems.
According to Hasabnis, the packaging is growing at 15% but is not as what it was in 2012. Hyderabad is a growing market in terms of packaging.
Hasabnis concludes, “Hyderabad is primarily a pharmaceutical market. In pharma, quality parameters are stringent. Hence our products definitely come into the picture as they are capable of producing quality products. The clients need solutions which can work within their technological boundaries and it is in this area where Baumer comes in to the picture.”
