With the new buy, the company, which claims to have one of South India’s largest capacity to print outdoor and indoor signage, aims to quadruple its current high-resolution printing from 25,000 sq/ft to 1-lakh sq/ft.

G Balakrishna, managing director at Ace, said, “We will now target to cater to the needs of architects and corporate interiors, wall art besides our existing clients spanning from telecom to retail to jewelry.”

Established in 2005, Ace Media has a print facility in a building spread across three floors covering an area of 15000 sq/ft.  In addition to the Gandy Termin8tor and Jeti Titan, the Ace set-up in Bengaluru is equipped with multiple print platform – two Jeti 3324 solvent, as well as latex and eco-solvent systems, and an Axyz routing/cutting systems.

The roll-to-roll high-speed Termin8tor, the Canadian manufacturer, Gandy Digital claims, is a one of a kind industrial printer with capabilities of printing at 1000+ sq/ft per hour in high resolution instore/POP quality and guarantees low operating costs.

Chandan Misra of Gandy Digital, explained, “Most eco-solvent printers offer six feet width wherein clients run four feet material and have multiple printers to meet clients requirement. The Termin8tor is a 3.3 mtr printer with multi-roll printing option. Besides, the cost of printing ink is 30% cheaper than that of any third party eco-solvent inks, operates on a single phase 5kw power supply, and has three heating units (pre-head, platen and post-print) addressing the drying issue. All these lower the operating cost.”

The Termin8tor is fitted with 16 Ricoh Gen4 printheads offering 6pl drop size, which according to Mishra, allows a best quality print speed of 540 sq/ft. “The USP of Termin8tor lies in printing crisp and sharp POP, in-store graphics, exhibition backdrops, wall art etc, all in extremely high speeds resulting in a quick turnaround time.”

At Drupa 2016, Gandy will launch the Fascin8tor, the 5m-wide roll-to-roll printer unveiled as a concept at Fespa Digital in March 2016.
