Bengaluru’s Techno Offset Printers replaces Canon 7000 with 10000

Bengaluru-based Techno Offset Printers (TOP) recently invested in a Canon ImagePress C10000VP digital cut-sheet printing press. A Canon loyalist, KS Madan Mohan of TOP said, “Canon is a tried and tested brand for us. We bought our first Canon machine in 2008, a Canon 7000. Quality assurance, premium feeling in printed material and minimum rejection were among the few reasons to make the purchase. The earlier machine gave us confidence to invest in the new Canon press.”

Now, Madan Mohan wants to establish the newly installed Canon 10000 and then move on to further expansion and diversification. His long-term goal is to enter into offset printing.

The print resolution of the 10000 is 2400x2400 dpi and can print maximum sheet size of 13x19.2 inches and minimum is 7.2x7.2 inches. The printing speed is 100 ppm and can handle substrates from 60 to 350 gsm.

According to Madan Mohan, the Canon 10000 can fulfil all requirement of digital printing. Printing is a continuous investment and we have followed the same pattern. We want to increase our business and profits, so we had to invest,” he said.

He added that for the first three years, the company will focus on ROI and then go to further expansions. “For this, we are working to improve organisational behaviour,” he said. This includes improving organisational behaviour like creating initiatives without losing discipline and focusing on the core business; supporting innovative thinkers and risk-takers without signalling neglect of the core business and sorting out opportunities that could truly move the stock price from those that are likely to produce only marginal improvements.

Within 100 days of installing the machine, TOP has already printed more than four and a half lakh prints. The company has replaced the 10000 with the existing Canon 7000 and is printing short-run advertisement material, especially on texture media.

TOP also works for educational institutions for their reports and projects. The company’s finishing setup is equipped with lamination, binding and perfect binding and other machines. The company operates from a 1,200 sq/ft are with five staff members.
