Rajeev Singh, country head and general manager, Benq India, said, “We could launch the monitor with the support of Benq Group from product development to manufacturing. Recognising the importance of managing the proofing process effectively and efficiently, our R&D team have worked hard to identify and tackle aspects of colouration that are the most challenging and meet the most rigorous standardised production printing requirements set by professional organisations.”

The newly launched monitor is featured with Fogra and other colour certifications with ISO standards, 100% CMYK colour space, 99% Adobe RGB colour space, 14-bit 3D Look-Up-Table and processing Delta E≤2 and brightness uniformity function.

According to Benq, the monitor is ideal for photographers, graphic designers, colour re-touchers, and printers who require accurate and consistent on-screen colour matching. The new device provides reliable, printing-certified soft proofing precision. With a Palette Master and X-Rite, the monitor effectively improves design and proofing efficiency and lower the total cost of ownership. For content creators, the new Pro Graphics Series would also make a digital workflow with colour consistency from designing to printing.

Steve Miller, market manager, imaging and print, X-Rite, added, “We are pleased to have collaborated with Benq's R&D team to develop the Palette Master software for their new PG2401PT displays. Utilising i1 core technology with additional functionality for power users, such as validation reporting for G7 and PSO, the PG2401PT delivers a very powerful solution that tackles the industry's challenges of colour calibration, reproduction accuracy and consistency.”

“The monitor allows professionals to connect their PG monitor directly to a PC via DVI-D, HDMI, or display port, while Mac users can utilise a mini display port to connect with the displays. A USB3.0 port/card reader is also available to facilitate fast file transfers. To ensure smooth proofing, the monitor comes equipped with a shading hood that eliminates distracting glare effects.  It supports cloud-based colour proofing systems, equipped with self-calibrating and one-click proofing capabilities,” Singh said.

Benq PG2401PT is available in India at Rs 1,15,000.
