BMPA’s X-Rite offer, a chance to improve print consistency

BMPA has announced that it will offer X-Rite eXact at a never before, discounted rate, and it will also bundle a product report benchmarked and tested by Dr Rashid Mistry, an expert on colour and a pre-press specialist.

The offer, exclusively for BMPA members, is being made in association with Advanced Graphic Systems, the company which has been representing X-Rite in India for the last 12 years.
 
Faheem Agboatwala, president of BMPA, said, “I remember Rashid Mistry (also associated with Comart) once mention that to measure the metameric index, you require the most advanced forms of measuring instruments.”
 
He added, “In simple words, this means, if you want to know how good the colour match is as compared to the original Pantone colour of the ink supplied by an ink manufacturer under different lighting conditions, you need a spectrodensitometer, which will help one understand if the press is printing consistently, printing in a condition similar to when it was profiled.”
 
The X-Rite eXact BMPA price will be USD 4,444 CIF or Rs 3.5-lakh, taxes and other conditions apply. There are two other special offers – an AMC for the device at Rs 18,000 plus taxes and recalibration services at Rs 12,000 plus taxes.

The offer is available untill 20 July, 2015 and the ordered product will be delivered on or before 31 August, 2015.
