Designed based on inputs from BMPA members, the seminar will witness print specialists who will share their experience on the subject. The Hinglish session will be carried out in four divisions touching on areas of standardisation – pre-press, press and chemical, followed by the question and answer road.

According to the association member, the seminar will be beneficial to stakeholders in offset printing, a CTP service unit, traders, press owners, agencies and even print buyers.

A registration fee of Rs 2000 has been announced for the one day conference.

The seminar will be jointly conducted by BMPA and PAPER (Pressman Academy for Print Education and Resource).

Explaining the need for such a forum in his launch speech, the project-in-charge of the BMPA Carton Forum, Tushar Bhotica said, packaging is the highest growth segment of sheetfed offset printing.

“In the last 60 years, the printing industry has come a long way from being focused on commercial printing. Now, like many of the BMPA members, it is changing and evolving into packaging converters,” said Bhotica. “This has brought new concerns and challenges before all of us, for the present and the future.”

In the future, the BMPA Carton Forum will focus on technical reports, industry standards for price and process, financial health, tax matters, vendor support, and skilled manpower, among others.
