The Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA) hosted the second get together for print packagers of Vasai on 6 January 2016 at the Golden Tulip hotel in Vasai. Like the first, the open house was attended by more than 175 print packaging participants.
The president of the BMPA, Faheem Agboatwala in his address to the gathering, said, “The way we consume print is evolving and changing. We need to keep an eye out for these changes and get into a certain niche which will ensure healthy margins. In this ever changing scenario, we need to work on lower RPI cycles and finally, share knowledge and not keep it to ourselves.”
The event was supported by Insight Communication, Vasai’s duplex and kraft paper supplier Rajesh Paper Mart, DIC and Zenith World.
Insight Communications’ Ajay Agarwal said, “We have 200 live machines running all over India and this year we will sell, install and invoice more than 40 machines.”
Mehul Desai of Mail Order Solutions and general secretary of BMPA highlighted the benefits of its grievance cell.
“For us, as entrepreneurs and print business owners, it is necessary to network, and build visibility. Any vibrant associations like the BMPA will offer a wide range of learning, which will enable the members to enhance business relationships, leading to bigger success. There is strength in unity and all printers should come together and be a part of the association,” said Desai.
