Faheem Agboatwala, chairman of PS 23 said, "We are very excited to have the founder of  iD foods, PC Musthafa who will demonstrate how a person with very humble beginnings went on to build a billion dollar company iD Fresh Food." The company which sells idli-dosa batter has a message for all the delegates who will attend the PS 23 about "being patient and be willing to work against all odds."

Agboatwala added, "As is often said, change is the only constant. Businesses that stayed on top of their game ensured continuity and prosperity. Companies which haven’t evolved don’t usually survive the next generation in spite of having fantastic products. Although “change” looks easy, it isn’t. And more difficult is accepting or owning this change. In the current business situation, being innovative and having a world-class infrastructure is simply not enough. What is more important is being nimble."

In addition to PC Mustafa, PS 23 boasts of Indraneel Chitale who is the fourth generation partner at the 81-year old Chitale Group in Pune.

Amit Shah who is president of the BMPA informed PrintWeek that, "Chitale studied electronics and telecommunications engineering at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology. After interning with GEA Foods Germany, Chitale handled multiple roles that included manufacturing, operations, supply chain, data management and MIS, franchising and infrastructure creation."

Today Indraneel Chitale is leading the product business at Chitale Group that involves brands like Chitale Bandhu, Chitale M Square, Bingebar which retails through their network of 60+ stores and more than 2.5 lakh retailers and supermarkets across the country and global markets.

Amit Shah said, "Chitale will speak about how he built the two lakh sq ft factory that started the Group's foray into mithai and namkeen packaging and distribution business. Since 2017, they have been able to triple their volumes. He has also spent a lot of time automating the traditional methods." Lots to learn from Indraneel Chitale, said Amit Shah.

Furthermore, the BMPA PS 2023 committee has invited industry veteran, Kedar Lele of HUL to address the gathering. Lele has been working with Unilever over the last 18 years; and has demonstrated strong leadership and performance track record across general management, customer development and marketing.

Lele has led diverse businesses (icecreams, infant & feminine hygiene) and channels (Project Shakti, rural, modern trade, and eCommerce) he also brings a understanding of India (having lived in 16 cities in India and Bangladesh) and its inherent complexities"

There are many lessons to learn from PC Musthafa, Indraneel Chitale and Kedar Lele with their strengths like people management, leadership, business strategy, external relationships and alliances, and go-to-market planning and execution.

Faheem Agboatwala added, “With PS it’s always a challenge to better the earlier edition but this time my team has pulled out all the stops to ensure PS23 is the grandest summit yet.”

“My entire team has worked tirelessly for several months and we eagerly look forward to receiving delegates from across the country in Mumbai in February," he said.

The Bombay Master Printers’ Association’s (BMPA) flagship seminar, Print Summit on 16 February 2023 is the fifteenth edition of the show. As always, the full day event will be hosted at the Tata Theatre, NCPA, Mumbai - and is expected to become the biggest show since its inception in 2005.
