Master printer and BMPA past president, Jagdish Shah is no more. According to his family, he passed away peacefully in his sleep on 3 May at his home., Associations
The tributes and condolences for the octogenarian have been pouring in from industry stalwarts.
SR Sharma, past president at AIFMP and BMPA said, “I didn’t realise he was going to exit this planet so soon. He spoke to me a few days ago. He did not sound too well but I never-ever expected him to leave, so soon. He was an inspiration to me. A man with his own mind. He was courageous and keen to serve the BMPA and AIFMP with dignity and honesty. He made a name in the printing industry. May his soul rest in peace."
Kiran Prayagi, said, “Very sorry to learn of this loss to the printing fraternity. I worked closely with Jagdish Bhai about how to revive printing education. For this purpose, a report was submitted to the Government some years back. His untiring meetings and persistence was commendable. May his soul rest in peace.”
Manoj Mehta, past president at AIFMP and BMPA said, “Salute to our hero of BMPA. Till his last breath, he served the BMPA. Plus he devoted his life for the betterment of printing. He will be remembered for long for his services to AIFMP, BMPA, printing fraternity.”

Jagdish Shah is survived by his son and daughter in law, Nirvan Shah and Tulip; plus his daughter Anjali and son in law Chong-Ae and the grandchildren.
A prayer meeting will be held at Tarabai Hall, Marine Lines, Mumbai on 4 May from 5pm to 7pm.
