“How many times have we asked simple questions, like, why do we face control electronic failures despite using a voltage stabilizer,” said BMPA’s president Nitin Shah. “Just when we were recovering from demonetisation, GST came into play. Everybody in the print industry was nervous, scratching their heads to find the right way to comply with the requirements then, and subsequent amendments. Likewise, the FSSAI will kick in the amendments to regulation in use of printing inks for food packages in July this year.”

The event’s topics include: EM(Power) yourself with Electric Gyaan by Sridhar of Online System; Prathik Shah will share insights on GST and E-way Bill—Recent Amendments; Labour Laws and their Impact on Industry by Hiral Chheda; a session on Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME); and Food Safe Ink: Get Ready to Adopt IS 15495 under FSSAI by Ram Kumar of Toyo Ink.

Shah added, “In a highly competitive industry, printers must be aware of what’s happening around their business. This initiative from BMPA is an attempt to provide insights to owners and managers of the print companies about how they can ensure the smooth functioning of their companies. Members also benefit from networking during these sessions.”

BMPA undertakes knowledge sessions periodically to update members with know-how, new development, seed new concepts and ideas. “BMPA’s knowledge session empowers its members to act proactively to safeguard their business and respect law of the land. It also helps its members to fulfil their corporate social responsibility,” said Sanjay Patel, a BMPA committee member.
