Bobst India’s successful Drupa run
Bobst India closed Drupa with impressive sales of die-cutters and folder-gluers, on the back of a slew of new print and post-print equipment launches.

Bobst India, business director for business unit - sheetfed, Venugopal Menon said, “Besides existing customers, we saw non-packaging print CEOs looking to step into the packaging converting business. At the show, we sealed 15 die-cutter and folder-gluer deals with customers from the Indian subcontinent.”
Among these, Parksons Packaging, one of the top packaging specialist in the country, has signed a deal for purchase of folder-gluers and die-cutters for their new project in South India.
Maharashtra’s newspaper and commercial business group Wikas Printing & Packaging (part of Sakal Group) invested Bobst Novacut 106E and a Bobst Ambition A1 folder-gluer and a Rapida 75 Pro, the six-colour plus coater UV press.
Besides this, Mumbai-based Globe Print n Pack, which specialises in transparentpackaging like PP,PET and PVC cartons has opted for Bobst’s Novacut withspecial configuration to die-cut plastics with Bobst Hot Plast system.
Menon added, “Drupa has set the print industry roadmap for the future which will be focused on automation, speed to market and digitisation. The future success of the print industry will be on how you can offer value, innovation and customisation to the end buyer.”
