“Embanews is a Brazilian publication that specialises in reporting on packaging for the food, beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals markets. The Embanews Awards are highly regarded in the Brazilian packaging industry, recognising the best in packaging manufacture and the most innovative packaging technologies. The awards involve an in-depth examination and testing of entries by a committee of representatives from industry organisations.”

“Having won awards in 2011 for its AccuBraille in-line braille embossing unit and in 2012 for SmartGPS, its pre-makeready system for flexo printers, this year Bobst entered its AccuCheck in line inspection system for folder-gluers and won the award.”

AccuCheck inline print inspection system has been designed to go with the Bobst Masterfold and Expertfold folder-gluer models to ensure that any non-conforming carton is ejected without reaching customers’ packing lines. It identifies a range of print and print related defects including, missing text, hickeys and spots, as well as colour variance, missing foil, print to cut register, thus helping carton makers ensure consistency of product in-house and helping brand owners ensure consistency of image across all their packaging.
