Commenting on the purchase, Father Jacob Malayatty, director, Don Bosco Institute of Printing Technology, said, “The existing folder machine in our facility was purchased around a decade ago and hence there was a need for upgradation.” He further added that, “The main reason for choosing this machine is the after sale services provided by Proteck.”

The institute machinery list already include six offset printing machines including Heidelberg SM 74 and the pre-press and post-press departments are also well-equipped with the latest platemaking, cutting and folding machines, and lamination, three side trimming and six clamp perfect binding.

“The AFC-74 is the latest fully automated folding machine from Horizon using the knife fold system. It enables a wide variety of fold patterns automatically by setting the sheet size and selecting a fold pattern and is augmented by an advanced rotary suction feed system for fast, consistent feeding of a wide range of paper stock” said Om Prakash of Proteck machineries, who represent Horizon in India.
