Apart from its array of inspection and web-guiding control systems, BST Sayona’s stand received good number of queries for Turborex Selematic, a new breaking technology in web tension control, and Moviroll, roll pusher that allows operators to handle cylindrical loads on a flat surface. Italy-based Renova had inked a distribution deal with BST Sayona in Drupa this year. Prior to Drupa, Renova was represented by PBJ Industrial Electronics.

“We have received good number of queries during the show for Turborex Selematic and Moviroll. This is the first time, after we inked a deal in Drupa this year with Renova, that these products have been showcased in India. We have been able to convert most of the OEM as our customers,” said Khushal Patel, officer – strategic sales and marketing, BST Sayona.

“Moviroll is a roll pusher that allows the operator to handle cylindrical loads on a flat surface effortlessly. It is controlled by a pneumatic motor powered by compressed air at 6 bar. The movement of this motor allows the transmission of the circular motion to a pyramidal system of three rubber rollers. The transmission chain transfers the motion from pinion key on the geared motors to the pinion key on the driving roller. When the roll comes in contact with the driving roller, it is compressed by the roll weight against the driving rolls. In this way continuous roll movement is guaranteed with any effort when the roll is loaded. There are four variants of the model which can handle a roll weight of eight to ten tons,” explained Lorenzo Sanvito, marketing manager, Renova.

Turborex brakes offer operators higher performance in web tension control. Historically, all operators in the flexible laminates industry have been obliged to employ on their unwinders, traditional air cooled single disc calliper brakes. This suffered with problems of maintenance costs, wear, dust pollution and required constant adjustment to find the exact torque range at any work cycle. Turborex solves these issues and offer higher constant thermal capacity for the uniform cooling of multiple low diametric discs,” explained Patel.
