Buoyant Epson sales of SureColor in Mumbai

Epson was showcasing its larger format SureColor SC eco-solvent series during Pamex.

Epson manager Milind Chavan said sales had been successful in 2017, with around 40 kit being sold in the Mumbai territory alone, including four to France-based Picto, who also put in an order for four SC-P20000s.

Chavan mentioned, the SureColorM SC-S60670 is designed "to deliver superior results of up to 64 inches wide, for an extensive variety of professional quality indoor and outdoor commercial applications, all in the shortest possible time".

The entry-level kit, Chavan claimed, delivers exceptional quality at low ownership cost for all types of indoor and outdoor commercial printing applications. They are: posters, signs, banners, backlit panels and POS to vehicle wraps, interior decorations, and exhibition displays. "This is possible because of the UltraChrome GS3 ink with new yellow formulation and lightfastness of three years outdoors without lamination. Epson’s precision engineering and micro-piezo printhead technology ensure continuous and trouble-free operation, minimising maintenance and lost production time, said Chavan.

An Epson spokesperson mentioned that USPs UltraChrome is odourless, nickel-free and requires no special ventilation, allowing the SC-S30600 to be used in an office environment.

The advantage is, loading of heavy media rolls. In India, this is usually a two-person job. Now it can be handled by one operator with ease, thanks to a unique jack. Media tensioning, traditionally only accessible from the front of the printer, is controllable from front and rear, so operators don’t waste time going back and forth. This reduces set-up time and maximises productivity.
