Leo Burnett Mumbai scores four nods on day two, putting them in the lead for the most shortlists, with only one category left

Leo Burnett picked up four more shortlists on day two, three of which came for Oreo and Airtel in the Creative Effectiveness category, with another in Creative Strategy for its 'Feel the Music' Spotify campaign.

The other two day two shortlists for India went to Brand David Communications in Film for 'The Sweet Truth' for Colgate and to Oglive Mumbai for Vi Human Testing Network' for Vodafone in Creative Strategy.

That means India's hopes for surpassing last year's metal count of 25 Lions remain alive, despite a slower start, winning only 4 Lions on day one.

While there is little hope of matching India's unparalleled success in 2022 when the nation brought home a record 48 Lions, the trend based on 30 out of 31 category shortlists so far suggests India could continue to build on its strengthening reputation at Cannes in recent years.

Thus far, India's favourite categories have been PR and Brand Experience & Activation, with five shortlists each, followed by Health & Wellness and Print & Publishing with four each. Only one category has yet to divulge its shortlist - the Sustainable Development Goals Lions, which will be revealed on Wednesday.
