Canon’s Karin Mayer slated to talk on “How to make India one of the world’s leading outsourcing players” at PWI Conclave
For most of the last decade or so, India has been one of the destinations for outsourcing and despite the recent backlash against outsourcing to India, it continues to remain the focus as one of the preferred back-offices for the world.

Against this backdrop, Karin Mayer, vice president, business line management for ink and dry toner solutions at Canon will address PrintWeek India’s Conclave on 30 August, 2012 on “How to make India one of the world’s leading outsourcing players”.
During her presentation Karin will shed light on trends and assumptions in the worldwide digital market; development in the transaction, direct mail and book printing market; as well as present case-studies from transaction, direct mail and graphic arts market.
In the last decade, India has blazed the outsourcing support trail, building a $5-billion outsourcing business on helping Westerners solve their problems and Mayer will present, what can be called a vision of “what outsourcing will mean to printers, and what she sees happening in the business”.
Mayer has a master’s degree in business administration and was with Siemens-Nixdorf from 1989, joining Océ after its merger with the Siemens-Nixdorf printing division in 1996. Her previous roles include sales management in production printing, software and professional services, area management and business line management.
