Canon announces two ImagePress C800 installations in Mumbai
Canon has announced two more installation of its ImagePress C800, the kit which Canon, at the time of its launch in September last year, had claimed is designed to make print firms money.

The two installation in are in Mumbai, one installed at Jumbo Xerox and one at Digital Plus. With these two installations, the total number of C800 installations is close to 30.
Along with the C800, Canon had also launched C700, both colour production cutsheet presses featuring new toner, laser imaging and colour calibration technology.
The C800 device operates at 80ppm has a duty cycle of 500,000 pages, while the C700 runs at 70ppm and has a duty cycle of 400,000 pages.
According to Puneet Datta, director, professional printing products at Canon India, the C800 has a number of brand new features, including Canon’s new Consistently Vivid (CV) toner. “It’s been adapted and improved from the Vivid toner on the C7011,” he said, adding, “there’s also the new automated registration, new elastic intermediate transfer belt and colour calibration tools.”
Canon is upbeat about the two new presses and claims that there are orders/intents for the C800 from more than 50 print firms, which will be fulfilled in due course.
