Canon forays into new domain of in-studio printing

Canon India launched of the all-new advanced series of ultra-professional printers for in-studio photo printing with the launch of Pixma Pro series.

These printers are especially designed to meet the requirements of the photographers with high productivity and colour accuracy printing.

All three printers are network ready, thereby allowing access to multiple users, and can be stationed at any part of the house or studio. The Pixma Pro 10 and Pro 100 models also boast WiFi connectivity.

Alok Bharadwaj, executive vice president Canon India, said, “India has over 10,000 professional photographers and half of them are Canon users. Over several years we have been addressing their strong needs for photo capturing equipment and accessories in the Indian market. With our domain expertise we have witnessed a strong requirement for high quality fine art prints and the rise of new domain called ‘in-studio’ printing. We are delighted to enter into this domain, which is estimated to be over Rs 50-crores in size by 2013. We would target 50% of this in the year 2013.”
