Canon to showcase C700 at Print Miracle
The Print Miracle Expo from 12 to 14 December 2014 in Kochi will have Canon display the C700 Imagepress. This is the official "public" launch of the press. Although there was a launch of the ImagePress C800 series, comprising the C700 and C800. This was in September 2014 for 125 Canon customers at the Hyatt Regency in Gurgaon.

The Canon C700 new colour production cutsheet presses features a new toner, laser imaging and colour calibration technology, according to Puneet Datta, the director, professional printing products, "Will bridge the gap between Canon's imageRunner C9000 series, which has a duty cycle of 350,000 A4 pages and a maximum speed of 80ppm, and the imagePress C6011S, which has a duty cycle of 700,000 pages and prints up to 61.7ppm."
The C700 runs at 70ppm and has a duty cycle of 400,000 pages.
According to a Canon team member, "The two C700 can print on a wide variety of media, including uneven media such as textured or recycled substrates, from 52-300gsm (or up to 220gsm without any speed reduction)."
With the C700, Canon hopes to grow at a healthy double digit. And "capture 30% of the digital print market share in India."
The Kerala Master Printers Association are co-hosts of the Print Miracle show - and have lined up a variety of conferences and seminars during the three-day exposition with the two-pronged intention of educating the print fraternity of Kerala and complementing the tradeshow.
