Saptagiri, founded in 1985 by KVS Warrier and B Srinivas, has established a significant presence in the blister backer cards and folding cartons segments, primarily serving consumer companies.
Canpac, established in 2012 by Nilesh Todi, operates in four locations and provides a range of products, including folding cartons, paper bags, corrugated boxes, and flexible packaging.
The acquisition of Saptagiri includes a manufacturing facility in Silvassa, which will expand Canpac’s geographical footprint. "This addition will also introduce blister backer cards to Canpac's product lineup. With ongoing greenfield projects in the Delhi National Capital Region and Hyderabad, the Silvassa unit will become Canpac’s seventh production site," said Todi.
Nikhil Warrier, executive director at Saptagiri, said, “The Saptagiri legacy has been built on extremely high levels of devotion towards our customers, and Canpac is the right partner to carry forward our values.”
Saptagiri marks Canpac’s second acquisition in as many years. “We are open for more acquisition opportunities, if the right synergies exist,” said Todi.
