The investment, Manu Choudhury wishes, will address CDC's core requirement of better registration while giving an additional benefit of improved production.

The Cityline will replace the Orient Super kit, which is currently in operation at the unit. "We have been using the four Orient Super machines for about two years. The machines run 24 hrs. But when it comes to absolute registration across the sheet, the Orient kit falls short."

Uncompromising on quality, CDC zeroed in on the Manugraph after considering a used Goss cold set machine as an alternative. "Our new buy had to be an improvement over Orient Super Printing press. With Manugraph, it also met our requirement of 546 cut off. Plus Manugraph's 35,000cph speed will translate to improved production. Thus, the choice became easy," concluded Choudhary.
