Chandigarh’s Devi Graphics ups efficiency with Monotech Systems

In the printing business for the last 18 years, the company is in the plate-making business for the last nine years. Tilak Raj, director, Devi Graphics, said, “We started with Violet CTP. Then we added thermal. However, we got on the right track once we connected with Monotech Systems in 2017. We have installed BasysPrint and Kodak Trendsetter from them. These are superb machines. With these, our productivity has increased drastically. Our 100% plate consumption is from Technova.”

Raj got into the plate-making business in 2013, catering to the commercial and packaging markets. Within this short period, he has attracted and served customers from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana. The company has a plate production of approximately 15,000-sqft per month, with a buffer production of approximately 10,000-sqft.

“My daughters Janvi and Kaveri are the backbone of this business. The young generation has a lot of enthusiasm, and creativity. I am glad to see the way they are taking this business to the next level,” Raj said.

The company operates from a 250-square yard multistory building in Chandigarh with 30 employees, which includes designers, machine man, delivery and other supporting staff.
