“The brand Heidelberg and our long association with them were the key reasons behind our decision to install Linoprint C 751 at the new branch,” said N Arunachalam, chairperson of the Adyar Student Xerox.

The company, started in 1986 by Arunachalam, now boasts of 25 branches in prime localities of the city and primarily caters to walk-in short-run jobs.

Linoprint is part of the fledgling digital press offering from Heidelberg, and the C 751 is the series for entry-level digital colour production. It boasts of several key features such as cost-effective production for very short runs and variable data; workflow integration via the Prinect digital print manager; and print speeds of up to 75 A4 pages per minute (65 pages as an option) on media up to 300 gsm.

The digital press also utilises oil-free PxP toner, which according to Arunachalam, ensures optimum image quality. “We have always been the preferred destination for walk-ins especially students, and the focus is on quality at the most affordable cost," said Arunachalam. Arunachalam plans to open more branches in the state soon. “That’s our philosophy and we will keep it intact,” he concluded.
