Chennai-based Printronics deal in Colex
Colex UK has appointed Chennai-based Printronics as the dealer for marketing, selling and servicing their Sharpcut line of cutting tables for signage and POP applications in India and Sri Lanka.

“Colex is a popular brand and with the growing signage market we thought this product will fit right in” said P S Ravishankar, the managing partner of Printronics.
The Colex Sharpcut has an automatic X-Y flatbed cutter as a starter system. It features supposedly include a six-zone vacuum system and its automation is amplified by the ‘Triple Interchangeable Tool Head’, allowing the operator to change application tools within the same job and is powered by the OptiScout Vision Registration System and Camera.
“The market needs a high quality, fast cutting table which can cut various substrates and thicknesses. Colex is able meet these requirements with a single bed. It is also very economical compared to leading brands of the world” said Ravishankar.
The Sharpcut features a true 5x10-ft. work area and the system offers a material library capable of opening over 30-file formats with plug-in export from CorelDraw, Illustrator and AutoCAD.
Started in 2014, Printronics also are authorised dealers for digital UV narrow web label presses from Durst.
