“The Xerox Versant 180 press offers superior quality for the best closest match for brand colours. It has also helped us meet the market need, increase our output and speedy delivery,” Hariharan said.

He is also happy with the training provided by Xerox. “We received excellent training covering everything from setting to colour profiling. The device’s capability of handling different media was one of the major reasons to invest in the machine,” he added.

Hariharan explained that the company invested in the Xerox Versant 180 to focus more on quality and thick paper stock. It has other kits for local college projects and similar works with a capacity of 3,000 prints per day, plus post-press facilities, including cutting, thermal lamination and binding.

Bhavatharini Digital Prints started as a designing unit servicing the local printers around Saidapet, West Mambalam and T Nagar in Chennai. Soon after, Hariharan realised that there is immense potential in short-run digital printing and invested in a digital printer. “With the installation of the Xerox Versant 180, we aim to expand our horizon and improve our print quality to better meet our customer needs,” he said.

Besides digital printing, Bhavatharini also provides solutions on offset and screen printing. Its client list includes local printers and print agents. “Additionally, we also cater to a few corporates. We mainly concentrate on SMEs and encourage them to focus on their core strengths rather than focus on their marketing print needs,” Hariharan said, adding, “By providing the right service and quality, we are able to fulfil at least 95% of our client needs. Recently, we observed that instead of regular media, most of our clients requested specialised media for their business cards and other stationary related work. Using our Xerox Versant 180 we are experimenting with different media to fulfil such demands.”

The company’s average print run is 30,000 per month. Now, it is aiming to double it from the third quarter this year.

The Xerox Versant 180 comes with internal EFI Fiery. Hariharan said so far the machine fulfilled the required demand for colour consistency. “In the first two quarters of 2018, we have witnessed a 25% increase in our print volume; 73% of our customers are happy and the delivery schedule has touched 40%, as compared to the previous machine we had,” he said.

Now, Bhavatharini is expecting around 35% increase in sales within the third quarters and is planning to expand to the eCommerce platform to add another 25%. Also, on cards is a single colour machine to meet the increasing demand for PoD.

“We are ready for any change in the market. Currently, we are going online to increase the sales and planning to give the best possible solutions to our corporate clients,” he said.
