Chivas 18 launches a limited-edition pack

Chivas Regal collaborates with designer Sussanne Khan to launch a limited-edition pack for its prestigious 18-year-old expression

Chivas, one of the world’s first luxury whisky brands, announced the launch of its limited-edition pack in association with interior and fashion designer Sussanne Khan at The Charcoal Project, Mumbai. The pack is an ode to the multi-layered blend of Chivas 18 YO, which rewards the senses with its unique 85 flavour notes.

According to the company, the limited edition of the whiskey pack has been curated by a woman for the first time. “Chivas 18’s new pack takes us on an adventure through the wonderland of Sussanne Khan’s imagination, thus revealing the pack of hidden stories. Inspired by digging deeper into the layers of everyday life, fully realising its magic and unfolding the hidden treasures around us, the pack is a true representation of the glamorous curations the designer is synonymous with,” a press note shared with WhatPackaging? stated.

“The specially crafted design is a beautiful mélange of flavours full of mystery and secret notes tucked in the classical blend of Chivas 18, thereby unearthing the hidden treasures of the designer’s wonderland,” it added.

Pulkith Modi, head portfolio, Chivas Brothers launched the new limited-edition pack along with Sussanne Khan. Prominent actors, designers and luxury influencers were also present at the launch event.

Commenting on the launch, Kartik Mohindra, chief marketing officer, Pernod Ricard India, said, “Chivas 18 is a complex and multi-dimensional whisky created by master blender Colin Scott that has 85 identifiable flavours in each drop. The brand’s collaboration with Sussanne Khan leverages her creative imagination to create a beautiful expression of the inherent complexity of this luxury brand.

“The pack is a celebration of rich craftsmanship and an amalgamation of art and flavour, which adds richness to the unique design. With this association, Chivas becomes one of the prominent Scotch whisky brands in India to collaborate with a celebrated woman designer for its limited-edition pack.”

Commenting on the launch, Khan said, “It is very exciting for me to delve into this new territory as a designer. Associating with a brand like Chivas is a dream for any designer, to showcase their interpretation of the limited-edition pack, highlighting its unique, multi-layered aspect. The new Chivas 18 limited-edition pack is the coming together of my vision and spirited style that leaves a lot to the imagination, thus making one think about the multi-layered aroma and flavours of Chivas 18. My long-standing association with Chivas has really taken this collaboration to new heights.”
