Coimbatore-based Star Colourpark bolsters binding operations with a Horizon perfect binder

Coimbatore-based Star Colourpark recently installed the Horizon perfect binder BQ 270VFC to increase their existing capacity.

“We have had several successful collaborations with Proteck and in fact have been using the previous model of the perfect binder for a decade now” said K.Janakarajan, managing director, star colourpark.

The Horizon perfect binder BQ 270VFC several unique features including the automatic book thickness measuring and produces books up to 50mm thick at a maximum speed of 500 cycles per hour.

“The ability to set up the machine quickly with several automated features like nipping width and glue thickness adjustments was a key factor in the choice of this machine” he added.

The 22 year old company has six branches in Coimbatore along a branch in Erode and two branches in Chennai running state-of-the-art digital equipment.

“We have been the pioneers for the past 20 years in this segment which includes the first Majestic Colour Machine in 1995, first DC 12 in 2002, first DC 2045 Digital Press in 2003 and the first DC 5000 in 2005- all from Xerox. We also were the first Canon ImagePress VP 7000 in 2009 to be installed” said Janakarajan.

“We are constantly on the lookout for new technology and we are excited about innovations and experimenting all the time” he added.
