Indore-based flexible packaging firm Colors Packaging Solutions recently installed an Indus Print ERP system to automate its business processes.
Established in July 2013, the company is known for manufacturing packaging boxes, carton boxes, packaging pouches, packaging roll, rotogravure printing service and more. The company also set up a new ISO 9001:2015-certified offset plant, which follows Six Sigma practices, in January 2020. This enabled the company to cater sectors such as confectionery, namkeen, chemicals, agarbatti, pharma, spices and flour to name a few.
The company is capable of providing multicolour flexible packaging lamination material up to eight colours with width of up to 1,000 mm (in two layers, three layers, two-layer BOPP, two-layer metallised BOPP, two-layer pearlised BOPP, two-layer PET LDPE, PET and BOPP surface printing, and more).
Meanwhile, in boxes, Colors Packaging specialises in different effects for Met-PET mono cartons as well as mono cartons with three-side window, such as micro emboss, 3D movement, foil stamping, drip-off UV.
Speaking about the latest investment, Aaditya Pahuja, managing director, Colors Packaging Solution said, “In this technology-driven era, we wanted to work intelligently and efficiently with proper systems in place. In order to swiftly get analytical answers, we opted for an ERP solution, which made our business processes very simple. This will help us in the long run.”
According to Pahuja, although the team at Colors Packaging was new, exposure to the new ERP system was very simple and the Indus team was always available to troubleshoot any issues. He said the support from Indus Analytics was very swift and was just a click away.
“It’s an easy-to-use software, featuring 360-degree coverage of what an MIS should ideally have – from generating a quotation to managing manpower. It includes modules for making purchase decisions, store handling, dispatching challan as well as every minute thing possible,” Pahuja added.
The ERP system at Colors Packaging features cloud computing, QC data handling, online production feeding at the machine level, store handling, swift quotation provisions, online training support and many more.
Pahuja said, “The ERP system was well-equipped and was exactly mapped to our requirements. Moreover, it was tangible and flexible to implement new thoughts or ideas.”
“We are extremely satisfied with the Indus Print ERP and it’s a 100% worthy product. Because of its ease of use, it is highly recommendable,” he concluded.
