Produced by NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, US, and co-sponsored by International Color Consortium (ICC)—the world’s authority in setting colour industry standards—and the Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA), the event, titled ‘Manufacturing Success with Colour Management,’ is expected to bring together 300 participants.
Principally designed for end users, the one-day conference will update participants on the effective use of colour management with the latest updates on ways to tackle colour inconsistency and colour communication problems. Together in direct peer exchange, designers and printers will share ideas on results-driven strategies and tactics, gain the latest best practices, plus learn ways to effectively respond to evolving market changes and the new growth opportunities they create.
Thus, it makes a must-attend event for graphic designers, publishers, art directors, packaging buyers, prepress managers, press supervisors, production managers, quality control managers, digital photographers, as well as those from any company or industry where achieving accurate and consistent colour is critical.
Among the industry-leading colour experts invited to share the latest trends of ICC colour management and applications are William Li, ICC co-chair and colour technology manager, Kodak; Steve Smiley, president, Smiley Color & Associates Global Brand Solutions; Katsuji Kondo, color expert, Konica Minolta Inc; Bob Hallam, president, Pixelologie, Inc.; and, Max Derhak, ICC vice-chair and senior software engineer, Onyx Graphics.
“With the printing market more competitive than ever, it is essential for print providers to understand how to best navigate the colour process and manage costs while delivering a consistent solution, regardless of the materials or technology used. Additionally, teaming up with NPES is an ideal way to reach untapped markets with the necessary colour standards,” said ICC co-chair, William Li, colour technology manager, Kodak.
“Konica Minolta is pleased to partner with NPES as a platinum sponsor to support this year’s programme, which offers our customers and industry stakeholders a platform to gain the information on the trends and developments in colour management,” said V Balakrishnan, executive GM (marketing), Konica Minolta Business Solutions.
The conference is also supported by the All Indian Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), the US Commercial Service (USCS), the Colour Group (Great Britain), the All India Printing Ink Manufacturers' Association (AIPIMA) and the Chemical and Allied Products Export Promotion Council of India (CAPEXIL).
